Künstler Jim Shore
Jim Shore wuchs im ländlichen South Carolina auf, als Sohn einer künstlerischen Familie und arbeitete zunächst als Maschinenbauingenieur. In seiner Freizeit Entwurf er nach Vorlagen von Quilts, den Keramiken und den Stickereien der kolonialen amerikanischen Folk Art, Figuren und Skulpturen. Durch viel Geduld und Geschick wurde er einer der beliebtesten Kunsthandwerker Amerikas. Er erhielt mehrere Auszeichnungen u.a. für seine Kreationen im Jahr 2006 den Titel „Künstler des Jahres“. Er ist aktives Mitglied und Präsident der „Yorkville Artist Guild“.
